UTB0102 Datasheet

DUAL SUPPLY TRANSLATING RANSCEIVER; AUTO DIRECTION SENSING; 3-STATE

DESCRIPTION

The UTB0102 is a 2-bit, transceiver designed for bidirectional

voltage level translation with automatic direction sensing. It

includes two 2-bit input-output ports (An and Bn), an output enable

control (OE) and two supply pins (VCCA and VCCB). VCCA can be

supplied at any voltage between 1.2V and 3.6V and VCCB can be

supplied at any voltage between 1.65V and 5.5V. This flexibility

allows the device to interface between various low-voltage levels

such as (1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V and 5.0V).

Pins An and OE are referenced to VCCA, whereas pins Bn are

referenced to VCCB. When the OE pin is driven LOW, the outputs

enter a high-impedance state. This device is fully specified for

partial power-down applications using IOFF. The IOFF circuitry

disables the output, preventing the damaging backflow current

through the device when it is powered down.

FEATURES

* 1.2V to 3.6V on A Port and 1.65V to 5.5V on B Port

* IOFF circuitry provides partial Power-down mode operation

* Inputs accept voltages up to 5.5V
